Good Friday - Anniversary of The Crucifixion

On this, the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion, the day on which he was brutally beaten to within an inch of his life before being hung on the cross to die just so that your sins could be forgiven so long as you believe in him, ask for forgiveness, and repent, I call on each of you to reflect on the choices you've made in your life and whether you live your life in a way that is pleasing to Jesus and God, the Father.

Representation of Jesus' Crucifixion

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you asked for forgiveness for your sins? Do you repent for your sins, or in other words, do you constantly strive to do better with your life and avoid sinning again? Keep on keeping on until all of those answers are a resounding "yes," for then (and only then) you can rest assured you have secured your place in the Kingdom of God.

The Beatitudes

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Matthew 5:3-12 NIV

The Crucifixion Signed and Sealed Your Inheritance

God sent his son to teach us how to live and love one another in a way that pleases Him. Jesus died on the cross to sign and seal your inheritance - that so long as you believe in Him and live your life the way He taught, you will inherit the kingdom of Heaven and the Earth, you will be filled, you will be shown mercy, you will see God, and you will be called children of God.
