On differences of opinion

I know many of you, like me, have noticed how difficult it has become to communicate with others on topics on which there is a difference of opinion. There really is no need for this! No two people are required to share the same opinion on all topics in order to live in harmony. Facts are set in stone; opinions are not.

From a spirituality perspective and in terms of this community, I want to ensure my members feel welcome and comfortable with sharing their opinions, even if they are different from mine or anyone else's here. I may post on a variety of topics that you do not necessarily agree with, but my intent is not to force my opinion onto others. I believe that we should listen to others' opinions and allow our intuition to take over, telling us whether the other perspective is worth considering.

Community hands

Consider this: almost all religions on this planet are variations of each other, with some having more or less content than others but generally similar. Some religions acknowledge that they are a branch of another, such as Judaism versus Islam. They all speak of gods coming from the heavens to create Earth and sometimes interact with the humans here. They all speak of global events destroying humanity for it to be rebuilt.

Now consider this: the heavens are the sky, and if Earth were created by gods who originated from outside of the planet, they would be labeled as extraterrestrials today. We, humans, have numerous space programs around the world intending to determine whether life can exist outside of the planet and whether it already does. It does.

My spirituality draws on influences from here, there, and everywhere. But I call myself a Christian. Please do not be offended if I speak highly of Yeshua, because I know from personal experience that he was/is real. He gave up his life so that our sins could be forgiven, as long as we repent. Sin is not breaking God's laws, but rather straying from His path. His path can be unique to each individual.

Many religions around the world speak of future apocalyptic events, such as Christians often referring to the prophesied second coming. The second coming has already happened. Yeshua no longer resides in heaven, but has instead been on Earth for many years, preparing for the final battle between good and evil. Look around at our planet today. See how we have already done such a fantastic job at destroying the natural world that God created for us. See how people treat each other so poorly for such petty things as having different opinions. This is not how God wanted us to live, and this is not what Yeshua gave up his life for.

So, when the time comes for the final battle, which side will you be on?

God reaching out for you
